Fullerton Public School Achieves “EXCELLENT” Status Once Again

The 2023-24 state assessment and district rating results were released by the Nebraska Department of Education this winter with Fullerton Schools achieving some outstanding results.

Those results were presented to the Fullerton Board of Education at the February Board meeting by elementary principal Tammy Carlson.

The results from Fullerton Elementary School were again at the top of the class as they received the highest rating of EXCELLENT. The students had great success in all the tested areas of English/language arts, math and science. The students scored above the state average in all three areas. The elementary students have seen a steady increase in scores for four consecutive years in both English/language arts and math. Fullerton Junior High School (grades 7 and 8) had improved results in science, but saw some declines in English/language arts and math. They received a rating of GOOD from the state. For Fullerton High School the test results came from the ACT taken by last year’s junior class. The class has outstanding scores in all three areas of English/language arts and science, and math, exceeding the state average in all three categories. They received a rating of EXCELLENT! The overall combined district scores had Fullerton Public Schools above the state average in English/language arts, math and science. The district received a rating of EXCELLENT!

The staff and students at Fullerton Schools are thrilled about the outstanding results of these academic tests.  We will gear up for another round of tests this spring with high expectations for success.
